1. Who we are
Surfing Andaman operates boutique surf trips to the Andaman Islands, India. These terms govern your use of surfingandamans.com and any booking you make with us.
By using this website or completing a booking, you agree to these terms in full.
2. Bookings and payment
How booking works
- Submit the registration form on this website
- We confirm availability within 3 business days
- Your place is secured only once a deposit is paid and we confirm in writing
Deposit
- Amount: $600 USD per person
- Due within 48 hours of availability confirmation
- Deducted from your total — it is not an additional charge
- Non-transferable to another traveller without our written consent
Balance payment
The remaining balance (full price minus $600) is due 30 days before the trip departure. Failure to pay by this date may result in cancellation without deposit refund.
Payment method
All payments are made by direct bank transfer. Account details are provided with your booking confirmation. We do not accept or store credit card details.
3. Cancellation policy
Cancellations are only valid upon written confirmation from us. Send your cancellation request to: [email protected]
The cancellation date is the date we confirm receipt in writing.

EU consumer rights — withdrawal right
Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, a 14-day withdrawal right applies to most distance contracts. However, Article 16(l) of that Directive expressly excludes "accommodation, transport, car rental, catering or leisure services where the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance."
Our trips fall within this exclusion — they are leisure services with fixed departure dates. The cancellation policy above applies in full.
If you believe a mandatory right applies in your jurisdiction that conflicts with the above, please contact us before booking.
Date changes
Date changes are not possible under any circumstances. If you are unable to travel on your booked dates, the cancellation policy above applies.
Cancellation by Surfing Andaman
- Insufficient group size — full refund and/or alternative trip offered
- Force majeure (natural disaster, government restriction, permit cancellation) — refund of amounts paid minus non-recoverable costs already incurred
- Critical safety issue — full refund
4. Minimum surfing level
These trips are not suitable for beginners. You must meet all of the following before booking:
- At least 3 years of active surfing experience
- Experience surfing outside your home country — at least once
- Comfortable surfing overhead waves independently
- Able to surf unassisted in open ocean conditions
By completing a booking you confirm you meet all requirements above and that the information you provide is accurate. If you provide false information and are injured as a result, your own responsibility is significantly increased.
Our guide reserves the right to exclude you from a specific surf session if, in their professional judgement, your participation would endanger yourself or the group. No refund is issued on this basis alone.
5. Travel insurance — mandatory
Valid travel insurance is a non-negotiable condition of participation.
Your policy must include:
- Emergency international medical evacuation
- Hospitalisation abroad
- Surfing explicitly named as a covered activity — check the policy wording carefully
Proof of insurance must be provided no later than 14 days before departure. If you fail to provide it, we may refuse your participation — which will be treated as a cancellation by you, and the cancellation policy applies.
Surfing Andaman is not liable for any medical costs, evacuation, or losses arising from absence of appropriate insurance cover.

- Accommodation: 3-star hotel in Port Blair (first and last night) + Ishika Resort on Little Andaman

- Israeli surf guide throughout
- Professional photographer on surf days
- Indian visa processing and restricted-area permits
Not included
- Travel insurance (mandatory — your responsibility)
- Personal surf equipment
- Personal expenses
- Medication
7. Limitation of liability
Website: We are not liable for damages arising from technical failure, service interruption, or inaccurate content on this site.
The trip: Our liability for direct loss related to the trip is limited to the price paid for that specific trip. We are not liable for bodily injury arising from the inherent and known risks of surfing, provided we took reasonable safety measures. This does not limit liability for our own negligence.
Local suppliers: We selected Beyond Oceans and Ishika Resort carefully. However we do not control their day-to-day operations and are not liable for their specific acts or omissions that could not reasonably have been foreseen.
Force majeure: We are not liable for non-performance caused by natural disasters, pandemics, government action, airport closures, or security events beyond our control.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any right you have under applicable mandatory law that cannot be waived.
8. Intellectual property
All content on this site — text, images, logo, design, and code — belongs to Surfing Andaman or is used under licence. Do not copy, reproduce, or distribute without prior written consent.
Photos you share with us from the trip grant Surfing Andaman a royalty-free licence for marketing use, unless you notify us in writing before sharing them.
9. Acceptable use
You may use this site for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You must not: copy or redistribute content without permission; attempt to access restricted areas; submit false information; use automated tools to scrape the site; or use the site for any unlawful purpose.
10. Privacy and data
We collect only the personal data needed to manage your booking. Full details — including your GDPR rights — are in our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Disputes will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa. We will always attempt to resolve any dispute amicably within 30 days before initiating proceedings.
If you are an EU consumer, you may retain certain mandatory rights under the law of your country of residence that cannot be excluded by contract. Nothing in these terms is intended to remove those rights.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be published with at least 14 days' notice. For customers who have already paid a deposit, the cancellation terms in force at the time of booking continue to apply.
